ARTHASHASTRA AND CONFEST 2025 at DPS VASANT KUNJ The Commerce Economics Club and Consumer Care Council of Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, organized their annual fest, 'Arthashastra and Confest 2025', on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.

INSPIRE AWARDS 2024 – 25
'Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research' (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), is executed by DST with the National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST, aims to motivate students studying in classes VI to X. The scheme aims to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children. Under this scheme, schools can nominate students' five best original ideas/innovations through this website.
We are proud to share that Param Sen of Class X has successfully carried the baton of success further and won accolades to his name by being shortlisted under the INSPIRE award scheme for the year 2024 – 25 from the Delhi region, where a total of 248 awards have been sanctioned for selected students. An amount of I.N.R. 10,000/- has been assigned to them to work on the prototype of their project for the next level of the competition. The school commends their efforts in achieving this milestone to have the award sanctioned to their name from thousands of applications across the country.

• AKSHANA - Prodigious Young Percussionist on Mridangam
Delhi Public School Society organized The Indian Classical Music Concert – wherein Shri. Chitravina N. Ravikiran performed two ragas, showcasing the depth and emotional range of Indian classical music. He eloquently explained the connection between music and other fields of study, particularly mathematics by demonstrating how musical rhythms are intricately related to mathematical patterns, ratios and sequences. He spoke about how time cycles in music, such as tala (rhythmic patterns) which are based on mathematical concepts of symmetry and division. He encouraged the students to explore music to foster logical thinking, creativity and an appreciation for structure.
The concert showcased the rich heritage of Indian classical music. A mesmerizing performance by the artists captivated the audience. The collaboration of Chitravina, violin and mridangam created a harmonious and engaging experience.
Through his performance and brief interactions, Shri. Ravikiran encouraged children to embrace classical music as a medium of self-expression and cultural preservation. His ability to blend technical virtuosity with emotional depth left an indelible impression on the young attendees, inspiring them to explore the art form further.

ART TO CONNECT 2.0 (ONLINE SUBMISSION)
DPS Rohini has always been committed to fostering inclusion and promoting a sense of belonging among all students. As part of this commitment, our students recently participated in an online event, Art to Connect 2.0, which aimed to bring together students with and without special needs. This unique initiative was designed to cultivate empathy, creativity, and mutual respect among participants.
The event featured specially-abled children showcasing their talents in painting, singing and dancing. It offered an incredible platform for artistic expression while fostering understanding and compassion—values that lie at the heart of education. Our school collaborated with Upasana Special School for this event, further strengthening the spirit of inclusion.
A total of 16 students participated in Art to Connect 2.0, including 12 students from DPS Rohini and 4 students from Upasana Special School. Eight non-CWSN students from DPS Rohini were paired with 8 CWSN participants from both the schools. The students worked together to prepare one-minute interaction video and practice videos and final performance videos. This collaborative process encouraged meaningful interactions and enhanced the learning experience of all participants.
Students without special needs were also tasked with writing a 600-word reflection on their experience, allowing them to articulate their learnings and insights from the event. Their reflections highlighted the joy, inspiration, and newfound perspectives gained from working alongside their peers with special needs.
Art to Connect 2.0 proved to be an enriching experience for everyone involved, reinforcing the importance of inclusion and creativity in education.

Delhi Public School Society organized Swaragini, a National Inter-DPS Hindustani Music Festival - Folk Group Song Competition at DPS Knowledge Park-V, Greater Noida.
Out of 97 participating DPS schools from all over the country, students of DPS Rohini were selected in the top 22 in group song category. Our students presented a Braj Folk Song of Uttar Pradesh. The 13th R.L. Chopra Memorial Inter-School Quiz Festival – Qriosity was held at New Era Public School, Mayapuri. Eleven teams comprising of three members each participated in the quiz and two teams of DPS Rohini made it to the finals, securing the second and third position, competing with around 200 teams participating from different parts of India. It was hosted by Manavsthali School, New Rajendra Nagar.

UDAAN –II: INTER-SCHOOL EVENT
DPS Rohini consistently encourages the inclusion of children with special needs into the mainstream, fostering an environment of unity and support. In line with this commitment, five of our students, three from the Infant School and two from the Middle School, participated in Udaan - II, an interschool event exclusively for children with special needs. It was hosted by Manavsthali School, New Rajendra Nagar.
The event provided a platform for students to showcase their talent and celebrate their individuality. Our students participated in various sports events and two of them made the school proud by securing the second and third positions.

INTRA MUN-EXALTUS
A simulation of two committees of the UNITED NATIONS was organized for students of classes IX-XII on 13 and 14 August. The two committees simulated were UNITED NATIONS COMMISSION ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN, with the agenda ‘Combating intolerance and discrimination against women on the basis of religious beliefs’ for classes IX - X and ALL INDIA POLITICAL PARTY MEET with the agenda ‘Deliberating on centre-state relations with special emphasis on the liquor policy for classes XI - XII.
This innovative competition provided students with the opportunity to use their creativity, originality and cognitive thinking skills. They were judged on their portfolio representation, speaking skills and lobbying skills.

INTER-DPS QUIZ 2024
Under the esteemed guidance of The DPS Society, Delhi Public School, Rohini, hosted the Inter-DPS Virtual Quiz 2024, Zone 6 on 10 August 2024. The event was thoughtfully designed to enrich participants' knowledge, stimulate creative thinking and enhance interpersonal skills through engaging competition and collaborative learning. The Junior Category explored the theme ‘Water Bodies of India,’ while the Senior Category delved into ‘Dance, Music, and Arts of India,’ setting the stage for an intellectually stimulating online competition..
The event commenced with a warm welcome to Shri B.K Chaturvedi, Chairman, DPS Society, Shri V.K Shunglu, Vice Chairman, DPS Society and Ms. Dolly Chanana, Joint Director, DPS Society for their guidance and relentless support. The quiz was conducted by Mr. Aditya Nath Mubayi from Quizcraft Global Knowledge Solutions. A total of 31 schools participated in the Junior Category and 27 schools in the Senior Category, making this a vibrant and engaging event.
The traditional Saraswati Vandana marked the beginning of the event, followed by an inspiring welcome address by the school Principal, Mrs. Kanika Sachdeva Govi. Her words set an uplifting tone for the challenging competition that lay ahead.
The final rounds culminated with six teams from each category making it through the prelims. For the Junior Category, the six qualifying teams were:

3. DPS Greater Noida
4. DPS Hyderabad
5. DPS Nadergul
6. DPS Vijayawada
In the Senior Category, the six qualifying teams were:

6. DPS RK PURAM
The culmination of the event brought forth the highly anticipated final rounds for both categories. Six teams in each category demonstrated their prowess, making it a captivating experience for the audience. The event showcased a display of knowledge and seamless teamwork among the finalists. DPS Bangalore North triumphed in the Junior Category, whereas DPS RK Puram secured victory in the Senior Category after winning the tie breaker round.
The event concluded with a ‘Vote of Thanks,’ expressing gratitude to all involved. The visionary leadership of Chairman Sri B. K. Chaturvedi was acknowledged, along with Ms. Dolly Chanana for her invaluable contribution in shaping this event into a remarkable experience. Quizcraft Global Knowledge Solutions received special recognition for their active participation. Participating schools and their principals were thanked for their enthusiastic engagement.
The Inter-DPS Virtual Quiz 2024, Zone 6, left a lasting impression as a platform for intellectual growth, camaraderie and appreciation for knowledge and culture. The credit for the event's resounding success goes to the collaborative efforts of the participating schools.

An Inter DPS Quiz was conducted by Quizmaster Shri Aditya Nath Mubayi. This was an online national level quizzing event conducted under the aegis of DPS Society. QUEST TO CONQUER
The first edition of Quest to Conquer: An inter-school quiz was organised in collaboration with Fateh Education. The quiz was hosted by Mr. Arindam Bhattacharya, the renowned quiz master of India. Three teams comprising of four members each participated in the quiz and the one team of DPS Rohini made it to the finals, securing the fifth position, with around 200 teams participating from various locations in India. The team was felicitated with a cheque of Rs 3000/-.

• An Inter School Commerce and Economics Fest BIZECO 2024 was organized online by the Bizeco Club of DPS Rohini on 19 and 20 July 2024. TATA BUILDING INDIA SCHOOL ESSAY COMPETITION
The Tata Building India School Essay Competition is one of the key initiatives undertaken by the Tata Group to motivate the youth of India and instill the value of nation building among them. The 17th edition of the school essay competition was organised for 500+ cities across 13 languages for students of classes VI-XII.

23 - 24 INSPIRE AWARDS 2023 – 24
'Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research' (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards - MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST, aims to motivate students from classes VI to X. The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children. Under this scheme, schools can nominate 5 best original ideas/innovations of students through this website.
We are proud to share that two of our stalwarts of Class X have successfully carried the baton of success further and won accolades to their name by being shortlisted under the INSPIRE award scheme for the year 2023 – 24 from the Delhi region, where a total of 119 awards have been sanctioned for selected students. An amount of I.N.R. 10,000/- has been assigned to them to work on the prototype of their project for the next level of the competition. The school commends their efforts in achieving this milestone to have the award sanctioned to their name from over thousands of applications received across the country.

BALLOT BOX: NUKKAD NATAK
Students of Class IX from DPS, Rohini participated in the event Ballot Box: Nukkad Natak on 14 May 2024 at Mount Abu Public School. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of exercising the “Right to vote” in a democratic society. Our students presented a compelling Nukkad Natak. The play emphasized that every vote counts, highlighted the right to vote as a fundamental democratic right and warned against the consequences of voter apathy, such as corruption and poor governance. Our students used engaging dialogues, energetic performances and interactive elements to captivate the audience and encourage active participation in the electoral process. It was a great learning experience for all the students.

GURUGRAM, HISTORY FESTIVAL- EDUCATION THROUGH MONUMENTS
Students of DPS Rohini participated in the Gurugram History Festival under the theme ‘Education through Monuments’ at DPS Gurgaon, Sector - 45. Students selected Qutub Minar for the interdisciplinary project and presented a flipbook titled ‘Daastan-e-Qutub’ table experiments, demonstrating architectural marvels and a dance performance named ‘Itihaas ke Galiyaron Se 379 Kadam’.
The involvement of students in the Gurugram History Festival exemplifies the power of interdisciplinary education in fostering holistic learning experiences. Through their innovative presentation on Qutub Minar, the students showcased their talent and deepened their understanding of history and heritage. This endeavour highlighted the importance of exploring and appreciating our rich cultural heritage.

FACT FIESTA QUIZ - TRYST IIT DELHI
SkillSphere Education and Creya Learning organized The FACT FIESTA 2024 - a national level quiz contest for students of Classes VI-VIII (Juniors) and Classes IX to XII (Seniors) at IIT Delhi's TRYST 2024.
Intra school prelims were held on 12 March for students of VI to IX and XI. The zonals were on 17 March and finals on 30 March 2024.

The event was held at the National Science Center. Among the numerous participants, D.P.S Rohini was among the top 20 qualifiers for the exhibition. XXXVII Manavsthali Maths Talent Test -2023 was organized by Manavsthali School on 25 November 2023. Among the 37 enthusiastic participants from classes V to XII representing our school, an impressive total of 24 students have made it to the merit list. 4 OCTOBER - 3 NOVEMBER 2023 : EMPOWERING FUTURES: MITSUI INDIA'S CSR-DRIVEN INDO-JAPAN STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM
As I boarded the plane to Japan, the reality of living alone in a new country with strangers for a month dawned on me. AFS volunteers welcomed us in Osaka, where I spent three diverse days at the youth center, learning about Japanese culture with students from around the world. The journey continued to Tokushima, a coastal town with breathtaking scenery, including the Naruto whirlpools.
At Jonouchi High School, my Japanese school life was enriching. Despite the language barrier, I made friends and attended various clubs. The school's well-rounded development approach impressed me, and I even participated in events like a Halloween parade and an English debate.
The daily train rides and bicycle commutes allowed me to observe and appreciate Tokushima's beauty. The strong sense of community, waste segregation practices, and local initiatives amazed me. The weekends were spent exploring Tokushima with my host family, experiencing traditional theatre, indigo dyeing, and attending an organic food-making party.
My host family, especially Yamamoto San, played a crucial role in making me feel at home. Despite language challenges, I bonded with her daughter over shared interests. The trip broadened my perspective on Japan, revealing the unity of humanity despite cultural differences.
Returning home, I reflected on the profound impact Japan had on me. I may not be a part of Japan, but Japan has become a cherished part of me, and I am eternally grateful for this transformative experience.
FEEDBACK / COMMENTS:
My stay in Japan was nothing less than “Transformation” for me. It threw me a thousand miles away out of my comfort zone and made me stronger, independent, and self-aware. I gained valuable perspectives, and deep insights into Japanese culture and most importantly made lifelong friendships and connections. I went to Japan as a young ambassador of India. But I returned as an ambassador of Japan in India. I love Japan! For all this, I am eternally grateful to Mitsui India for providing me with such an incredible opportunity to broaden my horizons and experience a wonderful life in Japan.

THE R.L. CHOPRA MEMORIAL CREATIVE WRITING AND BOOK DISCUSSION COMPETITION AT NEW ERA PUBLIC SCHOOL, MAYAPURI
The book selected this year for English was The Colour Purple by Alice Walker and for Hindi, it was Brahmin Ki Beti by Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Participants were expected to write a creative piece based on their interpretation of the ideas in the book on a statement /topic given on the spot. THE R.L. CHOPRA MEMORIAL CREATIVE WRITING AND BOOK DISCUSSION
New Era Public School, Mayapuri organized a Creative Writing and Book Discussion Competition. The book selected this year for English was The Colour Purple by Alice Walker and for Hindi, it was Brahmin Ki Beti by Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay. Participants were expected to write a creative piece based on their interpretation of the ideas in the book on a statement /topic on the spot. DELHI ROBOTICS LEAGUE ‘ROBO KANCHA’
The Delhi Robotics League, themed ‘Robo Kancha’ after a traditional game, took place at the Thyagaraj Stadium. This exciting competition brought 287 teams from all over Delhi who participated in an exhilarating display of robotics prowess. The league was organized through a collaboration between I-Hub Foundation for Cobotics and The Technology Innovation Hub of IIT Delhi. It was funded by the Delhi Board of School Education, and aimed to promote robotics education among students.
The competition consisted of three stages. Out of 287 teams that registered, 107 have been shortlisted for stage 2 followed by 68 teams qualifying for the final matches. Our school was one of the qualifiers for the final round.

Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi conducted the 16th edition of India’s Largest Business and Management Conclave, Prodigy XVI, on April 24 & 25 2023. The event was an endeavor meant to embrace and promote entrepreneurship and its perpetual spirit among the present generation’s young minds. The aim of the event was to hone the wits of the youth and inculcate in them a sharp business mindset and acumen. There were a series of events and simulations for the students.
Over 100 schools across India participated in the event and the team from Delhi Public School, Rohini qualified for the top 30 teams

Delhi Robotics League (DRL) is organized by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar School of Specialized Excellence, to enhance the skills and competencies of Delhi State students.
