VORTEX 2026 – ANNUAL INTER-SCHOOL MATHEMATICS SYMPOSIUM
The Mathematics Club of Delhi Public School, Rohini successfully organised Vortex 2026, its annual Inter-School Mathematics Symposium, on 25 and 26 July 2026 in an online format. The two-day event brought together over 500 students from nearly 50 schools, providing a vibrant platform to explore the fascinating world of mathematics through logic, creativity, collaboration and problem-solving. The symposium fostered critical thinking, innovation and healthy competition, making it a memorable learning experience for all participants.
The following events were organised:
- Constraint-X: Participants designed innovative artworks while working within a set of predefined constraints, showcasing creativity and logical thinking.
- MonoTeX: Students presented mathematical concepts through engaging comic strips, highlighting the role of mathematics in solving real-world problems.
- X-Quest: A puzzle-based event that tested participants’ analytical thinking, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
- X-Solving: An intense problem-solving competition where participants tackled challenging mathematical questions against the clock.
- UnXpected: A surprise event that challenged participants to think on their feet and adapt to unexpected mathematical tasks.
- War-TeX: A group discussion that encouraged participants to exchange ideas and perspectives on thought-provoking mathematical topics.
- Word-X: A cryptic crossword competition that tested participants’ logical reasoning and mathematical vocabulary through cleverly crafted clues.

VIDYA TOPA INTER-SCHOOL HINDI DEBATE
Delhi Public School, Rohini participated in the 46th Vidya Topa Inter-School Hindi Debate Competition organised by Delhi Public School, Mathura Road on 1 August 2026.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 11 schools, with students engaging in a thought-provoking debate on the topic, ‘माता-पिता का अति संरक्षात्मक रवैया बच्चों को कमज़ोर बना रहा है।’ The participants presented well-reasoned arguments both for and against the motion.
The debate was judged by Dr. M. K. Pandey, Professor, Satyawati College and Dr. Prem Prakash Meena, Professor, Hansraj College, whose constructive feedback enriched the learning experience for all participants.

Countering Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction
On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day, the Indian Cancer Society organised a Face Mask Competition for the Junior Category on 23 April 2026, under the theme ‘Unmasking the Appeal – Countering Nicotine and Tobacco Addiction.’
Through one side of their masks, our students effectively depicted how tobacco companies often portray nicotine and tobacco consumption as harmless and appealing, while the other side powerfully revealed the harsh realities and consequences of nicotine addiction.

PRODIGY AT SHAHEED SUKHDEV COLLEGE OF BUSINESS STUDIES, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI
Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, University of Delhi, hosted the 19th edition of India’s Largest Business and Management Conclave, Prodigy XIX, on 16–17 April 2026. The conclave was organised with the objective of fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing its enduring spirit among the youth. It aimed to sharpen students’ business acumen, critical thinking, and decision-making skills through a series of challenging events and business simulations.
More than 100 schools from across India participated in the conclave. The team from Delhi Public School, Rohini performed exceptionally well and qualified among the top 42 teams.
