‘MATH-ON-MOVE’ - MATHEMATICS RELAY
‘Math on Move’ – Mathematical Relay Race was an exciting and intellectually stimulating competition held for the students of Class IV on Tuesday, 15 July 2025. The event combined physical agility with mathematical thinking, turning numbers into a thrilling race against time. The energy was high and students displayed great enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout. The event successfully demonstrated that learning math can be fun, dynamic and full of action.

‘BUZZING MATHEMATICS’ – MATHEMATICS QUIZ
The Mathematics Department of Junior school had organised an exciting Mathematics Quiz Competition for the students of Class III. The event aimed to promote analytical thinking, logical reasoning and a love for Mathematics among students.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation of Class III students, each comprising 3 students. The quiz was divided into several interesting rounds such as:

TREASURE HUNT – CLASS V MATHEMATICS COMPETITION
Students of Class V enthusiastically participated in the ‘Treasure Hunt- Mathematics Competition’ on Monday, 14 July 2025. They tackled a series of mathematical clues, each bringing them closer to uncovering the treasure. Class III Orientation Session
The understanding of mathematics is necessary for a sound grasp of ethics. ~ Socrates
An insightful and engaging Class III Orientation Session was meticulously organized by Delhi Public School, Rohini for the parents of the new Class III students on Saturday, 8 March 2025. The event was inaugurated by our Principal, Ms. Kanika Sachdeva Govi, who lit the ceremonial lamp, followed by an energetic choir performance. In her address, Principal Ma'am emphasized the importance of parental involvement in education and the role parents play in nurturing values and virtues in children. A skit titled The Power of Unity was performed by the students, illustrating the importance of teamwork and cooperation, while a series of exciting science experiments, Wonders of Science, captivated the audience, showcasing the school’s hands-on approach to learning. Parents were also briefed on the school’s rules, expectations, and academic approach, ensuring a shared understanding between the school and families. The session concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude for the parents' support and participation. The orientation successfully fostered collaboration between parents and the school, setting the stage for the holistic development of the children.

‘WORLD OF NUMBERS’ – MATHEMATICS QUIZ

The students of Class II participated in an engaging Math Quiz on Thursday, 27th February 2025. The quiz featured various rounds based on topics such as Numbers, Addition and Subtraction, Multiplication, Time, Shapes, and Measurement, which tested the students’ understanding of mathematical concepts. There were five teams that competed with exceptional skill and enthusiasm in each round. The competition showcased the students high spirits and encouraged teamwork and problem-solving skills. HINDI COMPETITIONS AND ACTIVITIES ON WORLD BOOK & COPYRIGHT DAY - 21, 23 AND 24 APRIL 2025
Students of Classes III-V participated in various Hindi activities and competitions organised in celebration of the World Book & Copyright Day. Students of Class III participated in ‘Tatkaal Prastuti’ (Hindi Extempore) activity on Wednesday, 23 April 2025, demonstrating spontaneity, confidence and fluency. Students of Class IV showcased India’s rich culture and heritage through the ‘Jhanki Hindustan Ki’ competition held on Monday, 21 April 2025 where they displayed their creativity and artistic skills with great fervour. Students of Class V engaged in the ‘Kahi-Ankahi’ (Hindi Dialogue Presentation) competition on Thursday, 24 April 2025, creatively presenting conversations between living beings and related inanimate objects.
The enthusiastic participation of students made the events a great success, fostering their oratory, creative and critical thinking abilities. The following were adjudged the winners of the various competitions:

LEND ME YOUR EARS- ENGLISH DEBATE ACTIVITY - 23 APRIL 2025
Students of Class V enthusiastically participated in an English Debate Activity, ‘Lend Me Your Ears’ on Wednesday, 23 April 2025 as part of World Book and Copyright Day celebrations. The young debaters engaged in a lively discussion on the topic, ‘Movies Based on Books Are Never As Good As Books’. They presented their arguments with great confidence and enthusiasm, articulating their points clearly and convincingly. The activity aimed to foster critical thinking,persuasive speaking and active listening skills among students. It also provided a platform for the students to showcase their debating skills with conviction and fluency, while also successfully encouraging a deeper appreciation for books.
GIGGLE AND TALES: A HUMOROUS ANECDOTE SHARING ACTIVITY - 23 APRIL 2025
In celebration of World Book and Copyright Day, students of Class IV took part in an engaging activity titled ‘Giggle and Tales: A Humorous Anecdote Sharing Activity’ on Wednesday, 23 April 2025. The activity centred around sharing humorous anecdotes, encouraging creativity, self-expression and public speaking among young learners. Students enthusiastically narrated funny incidents, bringing laughter and joy to their classmates and teachers. The activity not only promoted a love for storytelling and books but also helped build confidence and communication skills. It was a fun-filled and memorable event for everyone involved.
AD LIKE THIS – CLASS III ENGLISH COMPETITION - 21 APRIL 2025
In an effort to encourage creativity and critical thinking among Class III students while promoting awareness about advertising and its impact on society, a competition titled ‘Ad Like This’ was held on Monday, 21 April 2025. Participants were required to create an advertisement for any eco-friendly product. The students performed brilliantly, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm. Their energetic performances were infectious, making the advertisements engaging and memorable. Their passion for learning shone through, and they demonstrated remarkable creativity and versatility. ASTRONOMY SHOWCASE – A LEARNING DISPLAY - 08 MARCH 2025
An engaging session was conducted with the theme ‘ Astronomy Showcase- A learning Display’ at D.P.S Rohini on Saturday, 8 March 2025 for the parents and students. The session took an exciting leap into the vastness of space. The Principal, Ms. Kanika Sachdeva Govi, delivered an inspiring address to commence the event, encouraging students to explore the unknown and imagine what is possible beyond Earth’s boundaries.
The day was filled with exciting hands-on activities that encouraged both creative expression and scientific exploration. From tattoo making to ‘Safe Solar’ observation with Dobsonian Telescope, Air Rocketry, Lung Capacity Test, it was a memorable and exciting event, not only for the students but also for their parents. One of the standout activities that particularly captured the attention of everyone was the Hydro Rocket demonstration. The event provided students with hands-on learning experiences that combined art, science and technology. Parents and students were actively engaged and enjoyed all the activities.
Parents were thrilled to see their children actively involved in the experiment and were impressed with how the session combined science, creativity, and teamwork. As we explored the fascinating topics of space science, from solar observations to rocketry, we were reminded of how much more there is to learn about the cosmos.

PARALLEL PORTRAITS- CHARACTER COMPARISON COMPETITION - 07 FEBRUARY 2025
Students of Class IV participated in the English Character Comparison Competition, ‘Parallel Portraits’ on Friday, 7 February 2025. This unique event encouraged participants to portray two contrasting characters from the same story, one embodying positive traits and the other negative. The students showcased their understanding by highlighting character traits such as bravery and kindness against selfishness and cruelty. Their engaging presentations not only captivated the audience but also demonstrated how these opposing traits propelled the story forward. The competition was not only a platform for creative expression but also an enriching experience that deepened their appreciation for character development in literature.

Students of Class V enthusiastically participated in ‘ Rock on Radio’: Radio Jockey Competition– an intra-section English Competition on Thursday, 06 February 2025.The young learners took on the role of radio jockeys and transported the audience to the magical world of books in order to promote the joy of reading . With creativity and confidence, they shared book reviews, engaging stories and exciting recommendations, inspiring their peers to develop a passion for books. Their energetic performances and persuasive presentations made the event both entertaining and educational. The competition provided a platform to the students to hone their speaking skills with elan and also successfully fostered a love for books among the students.
