An Assembly on ‘Mother: A Walking Miracle' International Day of Families’ was presented by the new admission students of Classes III to V on Friday, 16 May 2025. It was a heartwarming celebration of the unconditional love and sacrifices of mothers and the importance of family bonds.

The event began with a thought-provoking prayer celebrating the warmth of mothers. This was followed by the thought for the day.

In a touching tribute, the students recited a poignant poem that honoured the selfless love and dedication of mothers. The students then highlighted the importance of small actions and kindness and how they can make a difference in someone's life which was followed by a quiz.

The assembly concluded by expressing gratitude and thanks to our mothers for all the silent ways they love and support us and cherish the bonds of family that shape who we are. The assembly was a beautiful tribute to the walking miracle that is a mother, and the vital role families play in our lives.

The students of Class V-B conducted a vibrant and meaningful assembly to celebrate Rabindranath Jayanti and World Laughter Day on Tuesday, 6 May 2025. The assembly began with the garlanding of Rabindranath Tagore’s portrait by our respected Principal Ma’am, followed by a soulful rendition of a song composed by Tagore himself. The assembly featured a thoughtful quote, an engaging role play highlighting key moments from Tagore’s life and some interesting lesser-known facts about the great poet and philosopher. In honour of World Laughter Day, students recited a cheerful poem that celebrated the joy of laughter. A creative quiz in the form of puzzles added a fun and interactive element to the event. Students of Class V-A conducted their Class Assembly on the theme, ‘World Book and Copyright Day’ on Tuesday, 29 April 2025. This was followed by the Thought of the Day, featuring a quote by Charles William Eliot that highlighted the invaluable role books play in our lives. A heartfelt recitation of the poem The Magic of Books celebrated the wonder and imagination that reading inspires. Students were reminded of the importance of maintaining discipline in the library through a presentation of essential library rules. A lively and engaging quiz tested students’ knowledge of authors and literary characters. The assembly successfully conveyed the importance of books in promoting literacy, education, and cultural understanding, while also emphasizing the value of respecting intellectual property.

An assembly on the theme ‘World Earth Day’ was presented by the students of Class III on Tuesday, 22 April 2025. The assembly commenced with the watering of the sacred Tulsi plant by Principal Ma’am which was followed by the thought of the day. In addition to this, the students sang a melodious song as well as recited a thought-provoking poem which echoed the voice of Mother Earth. This was followed by a fun activity – ‘A Tug of War’ held between the Pollutants and the Environment Savers. A pledge was taken by the students to be Earth Helpers everyday. This was followed by an exciting Earth Day Quiz, the news, Principal ma’am’s address and the school song.
The assembly concluded with the reflection on the importance of the urgent need to protect our earth which is an indispensable part of our lives. Let’s pledge to protect Mother Earth from all the challenges, threats and overcome the same by staying united.

The students of Class IV conducted a vibrant and heartwarming assembly on the theme ‘’Animals are the Purest Form of God’s Creation', on Tuesday, 15 April 2025 celebrating both National Pet Day and World Art Day.

A beautiful poem, ‘Tails of Wisdom,’ captured the essence of love, loyalty and joy that pets bring into our lives. The students also presented the latest news headlines and conducted an engaging quiz that tested the audience’s knowledge about animals and Indian art forms like Warli, Madhubani, and Pattachitra etc.

To commemorate Republic Day, a special assembly was organised by the students of Classes III to VI on Friday, 24th January 2025. Students spoke with unbridled passion, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and it’s importance in the country’s history. They eloquently articulated the principles of the Constitution and emphasised the importance of adhering to Constitutional values. The assembly was further enriched with a talk show which was followed by a mesmerizing dance performance to express our love and devotion to our motherland, showcasing the vibrant culture and unity that defines our nation. To engage the audience and test their knowledge about Republic Day a quiz was conducted. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony which recognized and honoured the outstanding sports achievements of our talented students in the presence of their parents. The awards were given out for exceptional performances at both the State and National levels, acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our young athletes.

Students of Classes IV A and IV B presented their combined Class Assembly on Tuesday, 10 December 2024 on the theme World Energy Conservation Day. Our young learners recited a poem about the importance of energy and its conservation and focused on saving it for future usage. The show starred “Ms. Megawatt” who showed kids how to save power and resources. She shared easy tips like switching off gadgets when not in use, conserving water, making the most of daylight and staying away from plastic. The assembly got everyone involved making it fun and hands-on. It wrapped up with an uplifting message by students of Ekjut Club of Junior School who highlighted the steps taken up by DPS Rohini in making our planet greener and cleaner. The students of Classes IV E conducted their class assembly on the theme- ‘Gandhian Values’ on Tuesday, 1 October 2024. The assembly was conducted with great enthusiasm by the students. The school assembly on 23 August,2024 was conducted by the students of Class IV A. The assembly began with a heartfelt prayer led by Principal ma’am, setting a peaceful tone for the day. Following the prayer, the entire class came together to sing a melodious song that filled the hall with energy and positivity.

The dance performance, “From Shores to Space: The Journey of Dr. Kalam” enlightened the students about the inspirational life of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. From his humble beginnings to becoming the “Missile Man” and later the President of India, his life’s journey was depicted by students through graceful movements and expressive choreography. His vision, dedication and contribution to making India a global power in space and technology were celebrated.
The Principal, Mrs. Kanika S. Govi, addressed the gathering, expressing pride in the students’ performances and emphasising the importance of reflecting on the freedom that is often taken for granted. The students of Classes IV D and IV E presented an assembly on ‘The Five R’s- Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle’ on Tuesday, 06 February 2024. The assembly was conducted with the aim of emphasising the importance of refusing things which are not required, using less stuff, finding new uses for old things and recycling. The assembly commenced with a beautiful thought about the theme of the assembly. It was followed by a poem about the Five R’s. The students presented a street-play to bring forth the importance of the five R’s in our daily lives. The assembly concluded with the importance of implementing the five R’s. The assembly reiterated that effort, no matter how small, contributes to a healthier planet.

In an effort to mark the 76th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, the students of Classes IV B and IV C conducted an assembly on Martyrs’ Day on Wednesday, 31 January 2024. The students highlighted the importance of Mahatma Gandhi and his teachings. Students discussed about Gandhi’s inspiring and motivational quotes. A fun-filled quiz was conducted based on Gandhiji’s life and teachings. The assembly encouraged students to believe in the ultimate power of truth, love and adopt the path of non-violence and honesty.

The spirit of patriotism filled the air as students gathered in the school assembly area to commemorate the 75th Republic Day of India. The assembly was conducted by the students of Classes III and VI. Students from both classes delivered heartfelt speeches, highlighting the significance of Republic Day and its importance in our country's history. They eloquently spoke about the values enshrined in the Constitution and the role of citizens in upholding democracy and secularism. The assembly was further enriched with cultural performances showcasing the rich diversity of India.

A Special Assembly on ‘Christmas’ was presented by the students of Class IV on Thursday, 21 December 2023, to express their gratitude and share their joy of giving. Mr. Vipin Kumar, DE’s Nominee Member, MC, DPS, Rohini and HOS, RPVV was the special guest on this occasion. The assembly commenced with a beautiful thought about the theme of the assembly. The students sang melodious Christmas carols ushering in the festive season and celebrating the true spirit of Christmas. This was followed by an energetic dance performance which added exuberance and joy to the assembly. The students presented a thought-provoking play which emphasized that Christmas was more than just Santa, cards, toys or gifts under the Christmas tree. Students of Classes IV A and V E presented an assembly on Thursday, 30 November 2023 to celebrate National Mathematics Day and World Television Day. The assembly commenced with a prayer followed by the beautiful thought for the day that highlighted the importance of Mathematics in our lives. A few students of Class IV introduced the audience to some great Mathematicians and their discoveries. In order to commemorate World Television Day, a thought-provoking poem was presented that urged one and all to celebrate the powerful medium of communication wisely. In addition to this, students of Class V presented a role play that rekindled the significance of TV in one’s life. The quiz on the theme added a dash of excitement to the assembly. In an effort to highlight the importance of National Unity Day, the students of Class V C and V D presented an assembly on Tuesday, 31 October 2023. The assembly commenced with the inspirational thought for the day. A beautiful song on unity in diversity was presented by the students followed by an inspiring skit-depicting the diversity of India . The children observed a pledge to stay united in all ways. The students conducted an interactive quiz on the life of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel. The assembly concluded with the Principal’s address. The exuberant and jubiliant spirit that the festivals like Dussehra and Diwali bring is indeed unmatchable. To add to the festive fervour, a special assembly was organised on Wednesday, 18 October 2023 for Grades III-XII .The assembly commenced with a short prayer ‘Durga Stuti’ and lighting of the lamp by Principal Ma’am invoking Goddess Laxmi to dissipate darkness and ignorance from our lives. This was followed by a group song ‘Bachcho Ki Ramleela’ by the toddlers of the Infant School highlighting the positivity and the message of sharing and caring which Diwali brings in. The beautiful thought for the day highlighted the importance of the festival. It was followed by a scintillating performance, ‘Dashanan Bhavabhivyakti’, which showcased the relevance of burning of the effigy of Ravana .It urged one and all to celebrate the victory of good over evil and abandon the vices of greed and hatred from their lives.The street play ‘Pradushan mukt Diwali’ highlighted the powerful message of the dire consequences of bursting crackers. The ‘Safety First Club’ students shared a few valuable tips on celebrating safe Diwali. A few students shared their profound thoughts to celebrate a Green Diwali this year and also exchange traditional gifts and support local craftsmen thus contributing to the vision of ‘Atma Nirbhar Bharat’.

The students of Class V A and VB presented a class assembly on the theme World Animal Welfare on 10 October 2023. The students discussed about the endangered animals which are on the brink of extinction and also shared the ways to save endangered animals. Children enthusiastically shared the amazing facts about animals. To enlighten the young generation, a talk show was presented through which the students discussed about the ways in which animals were taken care of by their grandparents in older times. The students of Class IV E presented their class assembly on the school motto, ‘Service Before Self’ on Tuesday, 5 October 2023. The students explained the meaning of ‘Service Before Self’. The audience witnessed a poem on serving mankind before self by the students of Class IV-E. Children enacted as their role models who laid their lives serving the mankind. The students of Classes IV and IX conducted a special assembly to celebrate World Elders’ Day and Gandhi Jayanti on Friday, 29 September 2023. The assembly was conducted with great enthusiasm by the students as well as the teachers. Ms. Richa Issar, Working President, Kamala Bakshi Elders Home was the special guest for this occasion and Dr. Meera Sethi, Member, Managing Committee, Delhi Public School, Rohini was the Guest of Honour. In addition to this, there were guests from Kamala Bakshi Elders’ Home. The assembly commenced with the prayer and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. This was followed by a meaningful thought for the day. A musical rendition – ‘Songs of Reverence’ was put forward by the school choir. The students presented a Nukkad Natak- ‘Gandhi Ki Kahaani, Dada Dadi Ki Zubani’.This was followed by ‘Guftagu’- a talk show by the guests from Kamala Bakshi Elders Home. A mesmerizing dance performance on ‘Vaishnav Jan To’ was presented by the students. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem in sign language. The premises of DPS Rohini resounded with universal values of humanity as the students of Class IV B presented an assembly on ‘World Humanitarian Day’ on Tuesday,22 August 2023.The assembly commenced with a beautiful prayer by the students, echoing the feelings of love and care. On 26 July, DPS Rohini celebrated the International Day for Conservation of Mangrove Forest with great enthusiasm and a focus on raising awareness about the importance of mangroves. The event aimed at educating the students of Class IV about the significance of mangrove ecosystems and their conservation.
The celebration commenced with an engaging presentation on mangroves, their unique characteristics, and the vital role they play in maintaining the coastal ecosystems. The students were captivated by the visuals and interesting facts presented during the educational video session.
The videos also highlighted the various threats faced by mangroves, such as deforestation, pollution, and climate change, which further emphasized the need for conservation efforts. The students of Class V B hosted the assembly on – ‘National Mango Day’ on Tuesday, 25 July 2023. The assembly started with an inspirational thought for the day, followed by a song, ‘Aamo ki Mithas- Suro ke Sath’. Students of V B enlightened the audience about various idioms related to mangoes. Children presented a small skit depicting the life cycle of a mango tree. The assembly concluded with a book review and fun quiz for kids.

Students of Class V-A presented their Class Assembly on the theme World Paper Bag Day and Van Mahotsav on Tuesday , 18 July 2023. The assembly commenced with a wonder thought on saving trees. The students shared the importance of using paper bags instead of plastic bags through a thought-provoking skit. The students were enlightened to use paper wisely which would further help saving trees. Through the assembly, the message of planting trees was spread effectively.

Students of Class V E presented an assembly to commemorate International Day of Families on Tuesday,16 May 2023.The assembly commenced with a heart-warming prayer for the well-being and prosperity of our parents and a beautiful thought highlighting the importance of a family. It was followed by a wonderful poem expressing the theme of the assembly .Few students presented the different ways to make this day a special one for their loved ones. A short acrostic poem on the theme emphasized the crucial role that a family plays in a person’s life. The assembly concluded with a wonderful story about unconditional family love. It was indeed a moment of gratitude for everyone.

On the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti, the students of Class V D presented a delightful assembly that celebrated the life and works of Rabindranath Tagore on Tuesday, 09 May 2023. The assembly began with an introduction to Tagore's life, highlighting his contributions to literature, music, and social reform. One of the highlights of the assembly was the song performed by the students. This was followed by a small skit, ‘The Magic Words' which emphasised the importance of kind and positive communication in our daily lives. To add to the festivities, the students performed a special dance performance on Rabindra Sangeet. The performance was a beautiful display of creativity, talent, and dedication. The assembly concluded with the students explaining the meaning of the national anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana' which was written by Tagore himself.

An assembly on 'World Labour Day' was presented by the new admissions of Classes III to V on Tuesday, 02 May 2023. The objective of the assembly was to apprise everyone about the need to respect every kind of job that is done with honesty and hard work. The thought for the day and the thought-provoking poem emphasized that no one should be discriminated on the basis of their occupation. The Talk Show helped the students understand the importance of World Labour Day as well as the need to express their gratitude to all the helpers, parents and teachers who work hard every day to make their lives safe and comfortable. The students understood the true essence of the proverb, ‘Work is Worship’.
All the participants performed with zeal and stressed on the importance of appreciation of labour among peers.

Earth Day is celebrated around the world with a beautiful message - “Our continuing efforts in our everyday lives will make this beautiful planet thrive.” Echoing the same, Delhi Public School, Rohini celebrated ‘Earth Day’ through a series of activities. The school celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and organised an assembly to raise awareness about environmental issues and promote sustainable practices. The assembly highlighted the significance of Earth Day and the importance of preserving our planet.
The soft boards outside the classrooms were decorated with creative and visually appealing posters, each one with a message that emphasised on the importance of protecting the environment. The students also participated in myriad activities with great enthusiasm. One of the activities was a poster-making activity for the students of Class V on the topic, ‘Energy-Efficient Appliances’. In addition, students of Class III and Class IV were encouraged to read books related to the environment. Members of the Spectrum Activity Club (Classes III and IV) participated in the activity, ‘Best Out of Waste'. The students came up with innovative ideas and created beautiful art pieces and useful objects like pen stands, flower vases, and bird feeders from waste materials.
To conclude, the Earth Day celebrations in the school were a great success, and the activities conducted helped inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the environment among our students.
