Junior Intra School Activities
JUNIOR SCHOOL INTER-SECTION SPORTS COMPETITIONS - 24-25 OCTOBER 2024
In an attempt to sensitise our students about the ethos of a healthier fitness regime and to teach the basic skills of Standing Broad Jump, Kho - Kho and Football, various competitions were organised on Thursday, 24 October 2024 for Class III and Friday 25 October 2024 for Classes IV and V respectively. Students from each section participated in these competitions with great zeal and zest. Not only did these competitions provide an encouraging platform to the students, but also inspired them to remain fit and healthy.

YOU MAKE US PROUD- CLASS V EVS COMPETITION - 05 AUGUST 2024
On August 5, 2024 students of class 5 participated in ‘You Make Us Proud’ - an intra-section role play competition on the freedom fighters of India. The participants enthusiastically put themselves in the shoes of these freedom fighters, exhibiting great oratory and theatrical skills. The competition allowed the students to delve into the history of India's independence movement providing them a platform to develop and showcase their public speaking and presentation skills while gaining a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices and efforts of the freedom fighters.

Students of Class IV participated in ‘Wonders of India’– an intra-section EVS Competition on Friday, 02 August 2024. The aim was to instil a deep sense of appreciation for India's cultural heritage. The young participants showcased enthusiasm and creativity through role plays on their favourite monuments, exhibiting impressive research and presentation skills. The competition provided a platform for deepening their understanding of India's heritage while honing public speaking and dramatization skills. Their informative and entertaining performances left the audience in awe of India's vibrant and diverse culture.

EARTH DAY ACTIVITIES - APRIL 2024
To enhance the creativity of budding artists, a series of art activities were organised on the occasion of Earth Day for students of Classes III – V during their art periods. The students of Class III engaged in bookmark making. The students of Class IV created coasters. The students of Class V explored abstract art. It was a valuable learning experience for the students and a platform for them to showcase their talents. The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the students. Overall, the activities were a great success, fostering creativity and environmental awareness among the students..
LET’S TALK IT OUT- English Debate Competition - 06 FEBRUARY 2024
Students of Class V participated in ‘Let’s Talk It Out’– an intra-section English Debate Competition on Tuesday, 06 February 2024.The young debaters exhibited great oratory skills while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The participants spoke with verve and vitality and convinced the audience with their persuasive arguments. The competition provided a platform to the students to hone their speaking skills.

Students of Class III participated in ‘Spell Bee Competition’, an intra-section English Quiz Competition on Tuesday, 06 February 2024. The quiz was conducted with the aim to improve and expand the vocabulary of our young scholars. Myriad rounds related to spellings, jumbled words, antonyms, synonyms etc. had the students vying with one another enthusiastically. The competition provided a platform to boost their confidence and instilled a deep-rooted love for the language in them.

QUIZ - THEME: RITUALS, COSTUMES, CULTURE AND LIFE OF SIKKIM - JANUARY 2024
The Spectrum Activity Club engaged students of Classes III-V in a lively quiz that focussed on the theme of ‘Rituals, Costumes, Culture, and Life of Sikkim’. The quiz, which was designed to introduce young minds to the cultural aspects of Sikkim was met with enthusiastic participation. The quiz explored various facets of Sikkim's rich heritage, including traditional rituals, distinctive costumes, cultural practices and everyday lives. Students showcased remarkable eagerness to learn. The quiz transformed into an interactive learning experience, encouraging students to delve into Sikkim's vibrant cultural tapestry. The quiz served as an effective educational tool by presenting questions that were both engaging and thought-provoking. Through the process of answering, students not only tested their existing knowledge but also acquired new information about Sikkim's distinct customs and practices.
