VEER BAL DIWAS - 26 DECEMBER 2023
To commemorate 26th December as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ honouring the supreme sacrifice of the two young sons of the tenth Sikh- Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh, Sahibzada Zorwar Singh ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh ji, the students of Classes III-XII were shown a video and a digital exhibition. The video was shown with the aim to inculcate a sense of sacrifice and instil patriotism in the hearts of the students.
The students were also encouraged to participate in the online interactive quiz to learn more about martyrdom of the young Sahibzadas.
BHARATIYA BHASHA MAHOTSAV - DECEMBER 2023
The Bharatiya Bhasha Mahotsav, celebrated with great enthusiasm at our school, was a vibrant ode to the linguistic diversity and the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage. The activities aimed at promoting the significance of mother tongues and celebrating the linguistic mosaic of our nation.
The highlight of the celebration was the Signature Campaign, where students and teachers actively participated by signing their names in their respective mother tongues. This collective effort symbolised the commitment to preserving and cherishing our native languages.
Students of Classes III to V presented a mesmerising variety of traditional dances and melodious songs. This cultural extravaganza not only entertained but also educated everyone on the diversity of our cultural heritage.
A lively Multilingual Quiz engaged the students of Classes III to V. The quiz not only tested their knowledge of various languages but also provided fascinating insights into the linguistic nuances and trivia from across the country. This interactive activity fostered a spirit of curiosity and learning.
The Bharatiya Bhasha Mahotsav celebration served as a powerful platform to nurture a deep appreciation for our mother tongues. The event not only celebrated our linguistic heritage but also served as a reminder of the rich cultural tapestry that unites us as one nation.
DRIBBLE 2 WIN - 05 DECEMBER 2023
Dribble Relay Competition was organised on Tuesday, 5 December 2023 for the students of Class III. The competition aimed to sensitize students about the ethos of a healthier fitness regime and to teach the basic skills of basketball. Ten students from each section participated in the competition with great zeal and zest. The competition not only provided an encouraging platform to the students, but also inspired them to remain fit and healthy.

ROAD SAFETY - NOVEMBER 2023
Road safety is a critical aspect of our daily lives and it is extremely imperative to inculcate awareness and knowledge about safe practices from an early age. Recognising this, different activities for the students of Classes III to V were conducted. The activities aimed at promoting road safety among students. These activities encompassed informative representations, placement of placards and a quiz; all of which played a crucial role in imparting valuable knowledge to the students.
Placards were used by students to highlight key aspects of road safety. These creative representations covered topics such as pedestrian safety, the importance of wearing helmets, seatbelt usage and the significance of following traffic rules. These were predominantly displayed on the display boards in the school corridors. This strategic placement ensured that the road safety messages were easily accessible to all students, teachers and staff members.
A quiz on road safety was conducted to test and reinforce the knowledge gained by the students through the informative representations. The quiz covered various aspects such as road signs, pedestrian rules and safety measures for cyclists and motorists. As a result, students not only gained knowledge but also developed awareness about their role in ensuring road safety and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.
BHARATOTSAV – CELEBRATING ETERNAL INDIA - 14 AUGUST 2023
Delhi Public School, Rohini witnessed a spectacular display of India's diverse cultural tapestry on Monday, 14 August 2023 during the celebration of 'BHARATOTSAV - Celebrating Eternal India.' This special celebration aimed to instil in our young learners a deep sense of pride and appreciation for the various traditions, languages and customs that make our nation truly unique. The special guests for inauguration were Dr. Guriqbal Singh Sidhu - IPS, DCP of Rohini and Mr. Arun Kumar Chauhan – ACP.
Adhering to the Indian tradition of honouring guests with utmost reverence and respect, the school extended a warm welcome to all through a melodious symphony, Shubh Swagatam. The vibrant dances from different corners of the nation have always been the essence of our culture, weaving us together with their intricate patterns and unique essence. We proudly showcased 'NRITYA SANGAM,' providing a glimpse into the varied and enchanting folk-dance forms that beautifully represents our opulent heritage. Each class in the event portrayed a distinct state or union territory of India. The entire school was transformed into a captivating panorama of India's cultural mosaic, with each classroom adorned with decorations that reflected the unique essence of the region it represented. Traditional artefacts, vibrant rangolis and colourful displays added to the festive ambience. The captivating array of performances by the students took the audience on a mesmerizing journey.Hindi is more than a language; it's an expression of our emotions and values.

EK SUR- HINDI RECITATION COMPETITION-21 JULY 2023
The students of Class II participated in ‘EK SUR’ – Hindi Recitation Competition on Friday, 21 July 2023. The students enthusiastically recited poems based on the theme ‘Desh Prem, Prakriti, Tyohaar, Mitrata and Jeevan Mulya’. The competition not only helped to enhance their thinking skills on the chosen topic but also showcased their ability to present the topic creatively. They were judged on the basis of the content, pronunciation, expression and voice modulation. The competition provided a platform for the students to perform with a lot of zeal and confidence.

OUTDOOR FUN – CLASS II- 23 JULY 2023
Outdoor activities are always fun. Outdoor Fun Activities were organised for the children of Class II in the main school building on Monday, 23 July 2023. Children enjoyed the agility ladder exercises which included one/both leg hopping, hoopla jumping, zigzag running and hopscotch jumping. Cricket trials were also conducted for the little ones which included races as well as catching and throwing skills of a ball. Apart from all the field activities, children were also taken for a round in the school to admire the beauty of nature. Children were not only thrilled to observe two tiny nests but also excited to see brinjals and guavas growing in the school premises. It was a fun-filled day for the little ones.
CELEBRATION OF INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR BIODIVERSITY-MAY 2023
On the occasion of International Day for Biodiversity, different activities were conducted in school to raise awareness among students about the importance of biodiversity. The students of Class III were led on a nature walk around the school grounds. The purpose of this activity was to allow students to observe and appreciate the biodiversity present within the school's immediate surroundings. During the nature walk, the students were taken to the school's compost pit. They were shown the process of collection of organic waste from the school's canteen, class dustbin and garden and conversion into nutrient-rich compost. The students were educated about the significance of composting as an eco-friendly waste management practice. Students from Classes III to X actively participated in the task of making eco-bricks. Through this activity, they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of recycling and up-cycling waste to protect the environment and conserve natural resources.
ANIMATED FILM SHOW- WHEN THE COLOURS RAN AWAY-5 MAY 2023
Students of Classes III and IV got the opportunity to watch a short animated film titled ‘When the Colours Ran Away’. The session was conducted by Think Arts Production and organised by Prabha Khaitan Foundation. The format of the show was unusual and engrossing as it combined the animated film medium with live storytelling. The simple yet effective story told the tale of colours that leave the paintings and run away to brighten the lives of those who lack it. The film was followed up with activities that allowed students to reflect, visualize, form opinions and create. The students enjoyed watching the movie.
NATIONAL TECHNOLOGY DAY - 17 MAY 2023
National Technology Day is celebrated every year on May 11 to mark Indian technological advancements. The day is celebrated with the aim of enlightening the people about the technological advancements. Students of Junior Wing of Delhi Public School, Rohini celebrated National Technology Day by watching various videos related Technology Day. Quiz and Class Discussions were conducted based on latest technological developments in the Nation.
WHOLE SCHOOL READS TOGETHER - 13 APRIL 2023
On Thursday, 13 April 2023 the entire school community participated in the event, ‘Whole School Reads Together’. The objective of the event was to instil love for reading and build an everlasting relation with books. The students, teachers and other members of the school were invited to bring a book and read together. Everyone participated with enthusiasm and contributed to make this shared experience joyful and fulfilling.
