HEALTHY ADVICE

It is of utmost importance to impart health education to our children so that they can become fit and confident individuals. Some healthy advice for all :

PERSONAL HYGIENE:

  • Maintain healthy hygiene habits such as trimming of nails/hair, clean ears and stay neat on a regular basis.
  • Carry paper soap to wash hands.
  • Develop a habit of carrying hand sanitiser.
  • Brush your teeth twice a day to avoid cavities and staining of teeth.

HEALTHY HABITS:

  • Exercise regularly.
  • Have a nutritionally balanced diet including plenty of green vegetables and fruits.
  • Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day to avoid dehydration.
  • Avoid consumption of eatables from roadside vendors and kiosks.
  • Avoid junk food.
  • Bring seasonal fruit forthe 'Fruit Break'.
  • Have a glass of milk and some cereal (biscuit/porridge/bread) everyday before coming to school to avoid dizziness/weakness.
  • Consume fluids like fruit juice/lemon water at regular intervals.
  • Carry extra food to avoid staying empty stomach for a long duration when staying back after school for any reason.

HEALTH CHECK-UPS AND VACCINATION:

  • Get de-wormed at least once every year or as per the advice of the physician.
  • Have a dental and ophthalmic check up once every year by well qualified specialists.
  • Be immunized regularly against prescribed infections and diseases.

Please note:

  • Students suffering from communicable diseases such as Covid-19, chicken pox, cholera, measles, mumps, whooping cough, dengue and jaundice must observe the prescribed period of quarantine.
  • Students suffering from infectious diseases such as conjunctivitis, dermatitis and scabies etc. should not be sent to school until they have fully recovered and are fit to attend classes. The same must be certified by a qualified doctor in the form of a Fitness certificate and should be sent to the class teacher.
  • Students suffering from chronic diseases must be under the continuous medical supervision of a specialist in the concerned field. A history of their illness, along with the treatment and the names of medicines and dosage prescribed by the doctor, must be submitted to the class teacher/class coordinator as soon as the problem is diagnosed during the academic year.
  • The school must be informed regarding any injury sustained by the child particularly if it has a lasting effect.
  • Any special medication or ailment must be brought to the notice of all concerned along with supporting medical documents.
  • As a prevention against vector borne diseases during the rainy season, students are advised to wear sleeved school shirt & trousers/ white leggings.
  • It is the discretion of the school doctor to advise parents to collect their ward in case of a medical emergency/ailment.
