MOCK EVACUATION DRILL – ENSURING CHILD SAFETY

“The safety of our children is the foundation of a secure future.”

A well-organized Mock Drill was conducted at the Sunshine Infant Wing of Delhi Public School, Rohini, on Wednesday, 15 April 2026 and Wednesday, 29 April 2026 to ensure the safety and preparedness of our children and staff members in case of emergencies. The drill aimed to familiarize children with safety procedures in a calm and reassuring manner. The sessions commenced with the sounding of an emergency hooter, prompting the children to respond promptly and evacuate their classrooms in a safe and orderly manner under the guidance of teachers and support staff.

Special emphasis was laid on discipline, quick response, and cooperation. The children responded very well, showing awareness and attentiveness throughout the activity. The staff ensured that every child was accounted for, making the drill smooth and efficient. The mock drill proved to be a valuable learning experience, reinforcing the importance of preparedness and safety. It concluded successfully, instilling confidence among both students and staff to handle emergency situations responsibly and effectively.

    Inauguration Ceremony of the newly installed Air Conditioners

    Delhi Public School, Rohini observed a special and joyous occasion on 16th April 2026, marking the inauguration of the newly installed air conditioners at the Sunshine Infant Wing— a reflection of the school’s commitment to ensuring comfort and a nurturing learning environment for its young learners. The ceremony was graciously led by our respected Principal, Ms. Kanika Sachdeva Govi, and our esteemed Chairperson, Ms. Namita Pradhan, whose presence added great warmth and significance to the event.

    The programme commenced with a traditional and heartfelt welcome by the students of Class II, who greeted the dignitaries with the tilak ceremony. The auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the ritual of the coconut-breaking ceremony, marked a new and positive beginning. The students then presented a melodious Saraswati Vandana, creating a serene and spiritual ambience.

    Thereafter, the dignitaries interacted with the young learners of Nursery and KG classes. Their affectionate and engaging approach created a delightful atmosphere as they participated with the children in expressive rhymes, bringing smiles and joy to the little ones.
