“No heavy bags, no drooping shoulders. Learn today with ease and bolder’
The students of the Infant Sunshine Wing at Delhi Public School, Rohini, celebrated “No-Bag Day” on Thursday, 14th August 2025, to commemorate India’s 79th year of Independence and the auspicious festival of Janmashtami. The school buzzed with joy, curiosity, and patriotic fervour as our young learners enjoyed a day dedicated to hands-on learning, creativity, cultural expression, and exploration — far from the usual classroom routine. Health and well-being were celebrated through a Dental Check-up and a refreshing Yoga Session, contributing to the development of healthy citizens of India. Adding to the enthusiasm, a cheerful Healthy Food Party encouraged mindful eating and the joy of nourishing the body. The pleasant rainy weather added to the charm of the day, as children soaked in the cool breeze and enjoyed the festive atmosphere outdoors. The excitement continued with engaging Water Awareness Activities, where fun demonstrations and discussions helped students understand the importance of conserving this precious resource. Creativity found its way into every corner of the school with Paper Craft, Clay Moulding, and Matka Decoration, beautifully themed around Janmashtami. Little hands shaped their imagination into colourful artworks, while curiosity soared during Magnet Magic and exciting Science Experiments with ink, light, and mirrors. The Letter to Our Soldiers activity gave children a chance to express gratitude and love for the brave hearts protecting our nation. The day ended with happy smiles, new discoveries, and a shared sense of pride. The combined celebration of Independence Day and Janmashtami truly reflected the school’s vision of creating joyful, meaningful, and memorable learning experiences for every child — all while nurturing a deep love for the nation and its rich cultural heritage.
