“Dance is the hidden language of the soul, teaching young minds to express what words cannot.” - Martha Graham
On Wednesday, 13 May 2026, the students of Class II-E presented an engaging assembly on the topic ‘Let Us Hear the Birds’ at Infant Sunshine Wing, DPS Rohini. The assembly commenced with a calm and reflective introduction, requesting everyone to pause and maintain silence in order listen to the soothing sounds of nature. The Thought for the Day emphasized that by embracing silence and mindfulness, we can better appreciate the gentle and beautiful sounds of nature around us. This was followed by an interactive and lively chat show titled 'Talk to the Birds,' where students, dressed as different birds, shared their concerns about habitat loss, deforestation, and pollution. The highlight of the assembly was a meaningful presentation, ‘Where Have the Birds Gone?’ which conveyed a message of hope, showing that collective efforts can help restore natural habitats. The assembly reminded everyone to take care of the birds and reduce noise so that we can hear the sweet and soothing sounds of nature more often. A melodious choir added charm to the assembly, reinforcing the message in an enjoyable manner. The assembly concluded with a solemn pledge, where students promised to care for birds and protect the environment. The Word of the Day – ‘Conserve’ helped reinforce the importance of preserving nature and its resources. The assembly aimed to instill a sense of responsibility in young children, encouraging them to develop love and understanding for birds, appreciate the harmonious sounds of nature, and take meaningful steps towards their protection.
The spectacular Global Dance Showcase brought the stage alive with a rich variety of international styles, featuring the beats of Africa, the elegant storytelling of India, and the artistic motions of Chinese dance. In a beautiful display of global unity, all the performers joined forces for a synchronized grand finale. The artistic fervor continued as the faculty members and students teamed up for a classical jugalbandi. To wrap up the enriching event, the assembly featured the 'Spell Well' activity and daily news updates, finally concluding with a foot tapping dance medley by the senior school children.
