The students of DPS Rohini, Infant Wing , presented a thoughtful and engaging assembly to mark the twin celebrations of Foundation Day and Vanmahotsav—a day filled with pride, reflection, and a renewed commitment to environmental sustainability. The assembly commenced with the Thought for the Day, setting a reflective tone, followed by a well- presented skit highlighting the core values upheld by the school. A series of interactive and meaningful activities were conducted to celebrate the rich legacy, values, and ethos of the institution. Children enthusiastically took part in various fun-filled activities such as a school quiz, mascot parade, and badge and card-making sessions—all thoughtfully designed to instil a sense of belonging and pride in the school community. In line with the spirit of Vanmahotsav, students were encouraged to participate in plantation drive, promoting awareness about the importance of trees and a greener environment. Storytelling sessions and classroom discussions further sensitised young minds towards environmental responsibility and sustainable living. This combined celebration beautifully reflected the school’s deep-rooted values and its ongoing dedication to nurturing not only confident, responsible learners but also environmentally conscious citizens of tomorrow.

The teachers of the Infant Sunshine Wing at Delhi Public School, Rohini, presented a ‘Welcome Assembly’ for the students on Wednesday, 2 April 2025. The theme of the assembly, ‘Magic in Me,’ was brought to life through engaging performances by the teachers. During the introduction, the teacher welcomed the children and emphasized that the magic lies within each individual, reinforcing the theme. The assembly featured a Thought for the Day, an entertaining skit, and a song. Additionally, the teachers and students united to sing the School Song, fostering a sense of community. The children were thrilled to see their teachers perform on stage, and the assembly was met with great enthusiasm and appreciation. The students of the Infant School, Sunshine Wing presented a colourful and vibrant assembly on Holi on 3 March 2025. The smart and confident students gave a brief introduction to Holi, highlighting its significance as the Festival of Colours in Hindu tradition and its symbolism of the arrival of spring. The assembly also marked a farewell for Class II students, who will be joining the Main branch of School in the next session. They shared their cherished memories of the Infant School and gave a mesmerizing song performance to commemorate the occasion.

A special assembly was organized by class Nursery at DPS Rohini, Sunshine Infant Wing, on 27th January 2025 to celebrate the festival of Basant Panchami. The event began with a prayer and a discussion on the festival’s significance, including its association with the yellow colour, blooming mustard flowers, and the arrival of spring. The students presented a captivating group recitation, followed by mantra chanting, an enactment, and dance and choir performances. The event concluded with a reflection on the deeper values of the festival, emphasizing its connection to nature and spirituality. The celebration showcased the students' artistic talents and highlighted the meaningful values that Basant Panchami brings into our lives.

A special assembly was organized by the students of the Infant Sunshine Wing of DPS Rohini on Monday, 20 January 2025, to commemorate India’s 76th Republic Day. The event began with an introduction to the significance of Republic Day, followed by reflections on the values of justice, equality, and liberty. Students presented a heartfelt poem celebrating India’s pride and unity. The younger students from the Prep classes explained the meaning of the Indian flag, highlighting the symbolism of its colours and the Ashoka Chakra.
To further celebrate the essence of patriotism, “No Bag Day” was observed on 24 January 2025. The students of classes Nursery to II crafted the National Flag and National Symbols using colouring, painting and paper tearing, fostering a sense of pride and creativity among the children. The celebration also included educational activities to impart knowledge about the significance of Republic Day, the tricolours, and the National Symbols through interactive sessions and quizzes. The sign language rendition of the National Anthem nurtured a spirit of unity and love for the nation among the young learners.

The tiny tots of Nursery of DPS Rohini Infant, Sunshine Wing presented a special assembly on Monday, 28th October 2024, to celebrate Diwali. The event began with an inspiring Thought for the Day and a poem about Diwali, the festival of lights. The tiny tots then performed a soulful song, filling the atmosphere with joy and cheer. Next, the children shared informative lines about Diwali, followed by a mesmerizing dance performance. The assembly also featured an English poem, a Hindi lyrical story, and a motivational Anti-Cracker Rally. Dressed in colourful costumes, the young performers captivated the audience with their energy and creativity, making the event a visual treat.

The students of class Prep- B presented an insightful assembly on the topic ‘Water is Life’ on Wednesday, 16th October 2024, highlighting the importance of water conservation. The event aimed to raise awareness about water's role in sustaining life on Earth. The assembly began with a warm welcome to special guests from Germany. The assembly began with a lively song, 'Water is Life,' setting the tone for the event. They then presented skits, poems, and speeches that creatively showcased the various ways water is used daily, emphasizing the need to conserve it. The assembly concluded with a pledge to conserve water, followed by a group song promoting unity in protecting this vital resource. The event inspired students to adopt sustainable practices and was made more memorable by the presence of the German guests.

The Students of Class II of DPS Rohini Infant, Sunshine Wing presented a Special Assembly on Dussehra with great enthusiasm and zeal on Monday, October 7, 2024. This festival, symbolizing the victory of good over evil, was marked by various performances that showcased the rich traditions associated with Dussehra. A significant highlight of the event was the choir presentation, which captivated the audience with the Shiv Tandav Stotram and Lord Rama’s battle against Ravana. This performance conveyed the message that righteousness ultimately triumphs over wrongdoing, offering positivity, hope, and moral guidance. The entire celebration was enjoyed by everyone at the Infant School, concluding with Lord Rama bhajans sung by all the classes.

The students of DPS Rohini Infant, Sunshine Wing celebrated an insightful assembly on the dual occasion of Van Mahotsav and 30th Foundation Day of DPS Rohini, on Monday, 8 July 2024. Children from all classes from Nursery to Class II participated in the assembly with great enthusiasm. Our young enthusiasts began with an inspirational ‘thought for the day’ followed by a skit presentation on preserving mother nature. Joyous poem recitations enlightened everyone about the myriad benefits of trees. Various fun-filled activities were planned for the students to add more colour to their learning and inculcate awareness towards their school and environment. Students from Class I participated in a tree-plantation drive within the school premises to celebrate the ‘Van Mahotsav’ with dedication and enthusiasm. Saplings of diverse species, including neem, mango and amaltas were planted under the guidance of the School Principal, Mrs. Kanika Sachdeva Govi Ma’am. The event, aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of trees, was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impact on children. Our tiny tots of Infant School were also provided with a virtual tour of the school portal along with a Quiz competition which infused knowledge about their school in all classes. Discussion on planting more trees and adopting a plant were also held. It was an exciting and enriching experience for the children of the Infant Wing.

The students of Infant Sunshine Wing of Delhi Public School Rohini, Nursery to Class II, were enthralled to participate in the ‘Happy Wheel’ activity on Friday, 17 May 2024. Children reflected on their feelings by writing about things that make them happy using an activity sheet. Children were further encouraged to express their thoughts and interact with their peers to share their joyful moments. It was an enlightening and enriching experience for the children of Infant Wing.

A flash mob dance performance by senior students of DPS Rohini at Infant, Sunshine Wing was presented on Friday, 3 May 2024 dedicated to World Dance Day. The primary objective was to foster a sense of appreciation for dance among the students and staff and promote the importance of artistic expression. Engaging choreographies depicting traditional Krishna Leela and contemporary fusion based on ballet and Kathak dances were showcased, illustrating boundless limits of imaginative and creative powers. The infectious energy and enthusiasm of the performance ignited a sense of excitement and spontaneity among the toddlers, prompting them to move and groove along with the rhythm. This interaction not only added to the overall atmosphere of fun and celebration but also highlighted the universal appeal and transformative power of dance, transcending age barriers and bringing people together in a shared expression of movement and music.

The students of Class V-C conducted their Class Assembly on the theme World Book and Copyright Day on Tuesday, 23 April 2024. The assembly commenced with a solemn prayer, invoking gratitude for the wealth of knowledge that books bring into our lives. A thought-provoking quote set the tone for the assembly, emphasising the profound impact of books as constant companions, wise counsellors and patient teachers. The recitation of the poem "The Magic Of Books" captivated the audience, celebrating the magic of written words and the boundless realms of imagination that books offer. The importance of maintaining a conducive environment for learning and respecting library resources was emphasised through a set of clear and concise rules. An interactive quiz engaged students in a fun and educational activity, testing their knowledge of literary characters and popular authors.
The assembly raised awareness about the significance of World Book and Copyright Day, highlighting the role of books in promoting literacy, education and cultural exchange. Overall, the World Book and Copyright Day assembly succeeded in its mission to celebrate the power of books, ignite imaginations and inculcate a sense of responsibility towards literary heritage and intellectual property rights.

The assembly started with a beautiful prayer to seek the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. The budding orators expressed their reverence for Mother Nature as they began with the ‘thought for the day’. Children expressed their love towards Mother Earth through beautiful poems. The assembly successfully unfurled a spirit of camaraderie among all and exhorted them to look forward by taking a pledge and learn something meaningful. The assembly helped to inculcate a sense of responsibility towards the environment among our students.

The primary objective of the assembly was to impart knowledge about road safety practices, foster a sense of responsibility among students and promote safe behaviors both as pedestrians and future drivers. Our little learners spoke about key road safety rules and traffic road signs which encouraged students to understand and obey traffic signals. The assembly served as a vital step in promoting road safety awareness among the younger generation and fostering a safer community for all road users.

The celebration also incorporated educational activities to impart knowledge about the significance of Republic Day, tricolours and the National Symbols through interactive sessions and quizzes. Sign language National Anthem nurtured a spirit of unity and love for the nation among the young learners.

A Special Assembly was organized in the Infant Sunshine Wing of DPS-Rohini to celebrate the joyous spirit of Christmas by the students of Prep on Monday, 18 December 2023. The grandparents of the Kamla Bakshi Elder’s Home were also invited to witness the Assembly. The assembly began with a melodious choir filling the audience’s heart with warmth and excitement. The little performers enthralled the audience with their foot-tapping dance and poetry recitation. To further celebrate the essence of Christmas ‘No Bag Day’ was celebrated on 22 December 2023. Various fun-filled activities were planned for the students to add more color to their learning. It was an enriching experience for the children as they engaged themselves in different art and craft activities like thumb printing, card making, freehand drawing and colouring. Children sang carols and songs joyfully which infused the spirit of Christmas and New Year in the minds of the little learners. The efforts put in by our little ones were appreciated by one and all.

A Special Assembly was presented by the students of Nursery-Class II on Monday, 11 December 2023 to understand the importance of 3R’s - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. The assembly commenced with the thought for the day along with understanding the meaning of 3R’s. The assembly was carried forward by the little ones who threw light upon the ways to save the environment and enthralled the audience as they reiterated the importance of 3R’s in today’s world. A melodious group rhyme, a song presentation and an inspiring poetry recitation added cherries to the cake. The efforts put in by our little ones were appreciated by all.

The students of Infant Sunshine Wing of Delhi Public School, Rohini, Nursery - Class II, were enthralled to participate in the ‘Flower Show’ on Friday, 8 December 2023. Children enjoyed the sight of the National Flowers of different countries being presented through placards. YouTube videos were shown along with the discussion on different parts of a plant. The students also took part in various activities like Show & Tell and Watering the Plants while learning about how plants are an important part of our lives. It was an enlightening and enriching experience for the children of Infant Wing.

Gurpurab Assembly was conducted on Monday, 20 November 2023 by the students of Class I to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first Guru of Sikhism. The tiny tots enraptured the audience as they shared the significance of this festival and its importance in the contemporary world. They highlighted the various learnings of the ‘Paanch Pyaare’ and educated everyone on how they can connect these values to modern-day acts of kindness such as Service before Self, the practice of Langar, and more. The assembly left a deep and lasting impact on the audience and enriched their young minds with values of selflessness, generosity, and brotherhood. The effort put in by our little ones was appreciated by all.

The students of Class Nursery - II of Infant Sunshine Wing of Delhi Public School, Rohini attended a Dental Care session, on Wednesday, 18 October, 2023 organized by Dr. Shubhra Aggarwal, Head Dental Surgeon & Cosmetologist, Dantam Aesthetics. Dr. Shubhra discussed the importance of brushing teeth twice a day. She further used storytelling as a medium to talk about the effects of junk food on tooth health. The session concluded with the resource person addressing the queries of the children. It was a great learning experience for the students.

The students of Nursery of DPS Rohini Infant Sunshine Wing presented a colourful and thought-provoking assembly to celebrate the special festival of Dussehra. The tiny tots participated with great ardor, wearing Indian traditional dresses. The tiny tots began the assembly with a musical presentation of the story of Ramayana. The melodious rendition was aptly supported by a mesmerizing depiction of the events in the great epic of Ramayana. They also reiterated the faith in the victory of good over evil through a powerful presentation of Ramayana in the form of a poem. The talented munchkins enthralled the audience with vibrant dances depicting the different traditions that form a part of Dussehra celebrations in the North, South, West and East zones of our country. The effort put in by our little ones was appreciated by all.

The students of the Infant Sunshine Wing of Delhi Public School-Rohini, Nursery-Class II, were enthralled to participate in ‘Magic with Colours’ activity on Monday, 9 October 2023. They were excited to learn about the seven colours of the rainbow and learnt the language of each colour. The tiny tots engaged themselves in mixing different shades to discover how two colours when mixed together, got magically transformed into a new one. The young explorers loved the hands-on experience. It was an enjoyable learning experience for all.

The assembly was carried forward by a Quiz on Mahatma Gandhi’s life and work in which the children participated zealously. The tiny tots highlighted the importance of observing Gandhi Jayanti as they spoke about the teachings of Gandhi ji and how the Father of the Nation led the country towards independence. Melodious musical renditions and a foot-tapping dance performance were the show stealers. The effort put in by our little ones was appreciated by all.

It was an enriching experience for the children as they engaged themselves in different art and craft activities like poster making, freehand drawing and colouring. Various activities like story narration, poetry recitation, quiz and show and tell infused knowledge about their school and Mother Earth in the mind of the little learners. It was an exciting and enriching experience for the children of Infant wing.
