This year, on Samvidhan Diwas, 26th November, India celebrates 75 years since the adoption of its Constitution. To honour this milestone, DPS Rohini participated in a nationwide campaign, during which the school read the Preamble and fostered a sense of collective pride and unity.

Joined by esteemed health professionals, the event addressed high blood pressure's definition, causes, and management, stressing regular check-ups and lifestyle adjustments. The interactive session, attended by 500 people, featured a Q&A segment and showcased DPS Rohini's initiatives, including art competitions and breathing exercises. The 2nd edition of India’s first-of-its-kind inclusive festival that celebrates persons with disabilities, a world of boundless possibilities, where unity takes center stage, and diversity is celebrated with open arms was organised by the Office of the State Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Goa, Directorate of Social Welfare, Government of Goa and Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Mrs. Kanika Sachdeva Govi, Principal, DPS Rohini, chaired two sessions at the International Purple Festival held at Goa on the topics ‘School Environment and different models of inclusion’ and ‘Sexuality and Personal Safety’. She also gave away the awards along with the jury to the winning entries of this year’s Purple International ‘We Care Film Festival on disability issues’ . The film festival has as its founding partners –UN Information Centre for India and Bhutan, UNESCO, Brotherhood and Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication. Principal, Mrs. Kanika Sachdeva Govi attended the "Raising Learners for India 2040" (RLFI2040) event, organized by Indraprastha School Sahodaya, Delhi Sahodaya Schools Complex, and The Karadi Path, with support from the Action Committee of Unaided Recognized Private Schools. The top scorers are: Aakash Joon of Delhi Public School Rohini, Batch- 2022-23, secured an All India Rank 34 among more than 20 lakh applicants who appeared in the All India Medical Entrance exam held on 7 May this year. Dev Singh secured an All India Rank 637 and Mihika Chawla secured All India Rank 983 in the prestigious medical entrance exam. Heer Sharma, Batch 2022-23 was successful in receiving Huron's International Presidential Scholarship worth over $100,000 CAD which is an incredible accomplishment. This is one of Canada's most prestigious scholarships for international students. Heer, along with her family has been invited to an exclusive virtual reception hosted by Huron President, Dr. Barry Craig, to celebrate her achievement.

Ihina Roy of Class X has made DPS, Rohini proud by bagging the First Position at the Idea Pitch held at Thinkstartup Entrepreneurship Bootcamp at IIT, New Delhi on 4 September 2022. The competition witnessed innovative business ideas pitched by fourteen teams comprising of students of Classes VIII-XII. The bootcamp was organised by ThinkStartup in collaboration with FITT (Federation for Innovation & Technology Transfer). Ihina Roy led a team of four members and pitched in the idea to start an organisation, 'Grow' to help farmers get fair prices of their produce and enable them to be able to supply the produce at affordable prices to the consumers. The problems related to the idea were identified and relevant solutions were presented in front of the potential investors. Post the Question -Answer Session on the business’ viability, Ihina's team earned the highest investment commitment from the investors and won the first prize. We are proud of Ihina’s achievements.

Jigisha Singh of Class V-C has added another feather to her cap by getting her story published with BriBooks. She was awarded the most popular author in the state by BriBooks for her book, 'The Mystery of the Phoenix'. Being a fiction fanatic, she was always intrigued by mystery and horror genres. Literary works like 'Fingersmith' by Sarah Waters and 'Treasure Island' by Robert Louis Stevenson have been her inspiration. We are proud of her achievements!

Vijval Gupta (VII-E) secured International Rank 1 in Level-1 and Zonal Rank 1 in Level-2 in International Maths Olympiad and has won a cash prize of Rs.12,500 along with a Gold Medal and Certificate of Outstanding Performance. Keep up the great effort!

A School that Writes DPS Rohini was awarded the Literary Leadership Excellence Award at the National Young Authors Fair (NYAF) Award Ceremony, held on March 25 2023! Principal, Mrs. Kanika Sachdeva Govi, accepted the award on behalf of the school. With over 83 students who have got their books published, DPS - Rohini made it to the top schools of India, and was awarded for the excellent performance of its young authors during the event.

Vivaan Wahi (V-A) as a member of the team represented Delhi Public School, Rohini in the 40th Aryabhatta Mathematics Competition. The team won the Runners up trophy. He also won the Bronze medal in the eminent SEAMO X 2023 by attaining Global rank of 35. He has received a Gold Medal in IMO Olympiad 2022-23 and qualified for second round.He has also bagged School Rank #1, Delhi State Rank #5, All India Rank #168 in the National Level Science Talent Search Examination (NSTSE) – 2023. Another feather added to Vivaan’s accomplishments with a Gold Medal in NSO Olympiad 2022-23. Congratulations!

Adya Das of Class IV-C had participated in the world's largest book writing competition organised by BriBooks, powered by Education World. Reaping the fruits of her labour, Adya has been awarded the 'Young Author Excellence Award' by jury member, Navyn Salem. Her book, 'Adventures of Lydia and Eryl' has been included in the National Top 15 and another book, 'Broken Doll' is a State Topper. Her books will be showcased internationally at the Brooklyn Books Festival and New Orleans Book Festival. Her book Adventures of Lydia and Eryl is currently the first at the school level (DPS Rohini, across all grades). Her book has already made its way on Amazon (US edition) and received many encouraging reviews. She was felicitated for her achievement in the National Young Authors Fair (NYAF) Award Ceremony, held on March 25 2023. She was also interviewed by prominent media groups including NDTV and Disney. Adya also met the Pulitzer Prize Winner, Dele Olojede whose words had always inspired her. Way to go Adya!

To mark the second anniversary of NEP 2020, the CBSE introduced The CBSE Budding Authors Programme in partnership with Pratham Books’ Storyweaver, supported by Central Square Foundation and National Book Trust. In extension to the CBSE Reading Mission, this programme aimed to provide CBSE students from Classes V to X with a platform to engage in reading a variety of stories, explore their creativity, learn to write effectively and to get a chance to see their stories published for the world. Students of Delhi Public School – Rohini, registered their names for Stage 1 of the programme, at 3 levels. (Level 1 for Grade 5-6, Level 2 for Grade 7-8 and Level 3 for Grade IX and X) in the month of August, which was conducted in school. They were encouraged to read sample stories in Hindi or English based on their preference and get ideas before they initiate to write their own. Two students for each level were shortlisted for stage 2 of the programme wherein, they gave wings to their imagination and creativity by writing interesting stories in Hindi and English language. The following shortlisted students of each level uploaded their stories through the link provided by the CBSE.

With a focus to promote Reading Literacy among students, CBSE had organized the CBSE Reading Challenge in the months of October to Dec 2022 for classes VI- X in both Hindi and English languages. The Contest was conducted in two rounds – within school followed by Inter School. In Round-I: 250 students participated in Hindi and 115 students participated in English. In Round-II: Ten Students participated (the best 2 from each class). Yashraj (W2214) of class VII-B is the only student from Delhi who has received appreciation in Hindi Reading Challenge, from Delhi - West region.

Aniket Agarwal of Class XII-D participated in the 37^th National ITF Taekwondo Championship, 2022 held at Thyagraj Indoor Stadium, New Delhi from 28^th to 30^th December 2022.

Ekansh Arora, XI-A participated in the National School Scrabble Championship 2022. Ekansh brought laurels to the school when he finished 1st in the National Championship proving his mettle among participants belonging to 8 zones (including Bangalore, Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati) across India. Ekansh also participated in the World Youth Scrabble Championship (WYSC). He finished 34th out of 86 participants belonging to 15 countries all across the globe.

Samyak Jain, VIA, made DPS Rohini proud by bagging a gold medal in SEAMO, 2022. He is the only Indian in his age group to get a gold medal this year. He has also won a Bronze medal in SEAMO X 2023 by winning a global rank 24. Way to go Samyak!.

Aneesh Raman, (Class X-E) won the Junior Skills championship organized by the CBSE and NSDC in the IT Software Skills for business category. He was felicitated at India Habitat Center on April 2,2022 by the Government of India. He won a gold medalalong with a prize money of fifty thousand rupees.
