- P2E is an initiative by UNICEF that empowers students with relevant 21st Century skills to thrive in school, work and life and provide them with future pathways to entrepreneurship, employment & social impact opportunities.
- A pilot study was conducted by UNICEF on a few CBSE schools for this project. The webinar that was attended by DPS Rohini staff members was all about knowing the experiences of the schools who participated in the Pilot study.
- The participating schools’ Principals shared the experiences in relation to the pathways 2 learning project.
- They informed how the students were benefiting from the skills learnt through the project. They found the project to be really impactful and beneficial for the students.

The workshop conducted by the counselor for all faculty members on 5 November 2022 aimed at understanding the importance of child safety and safeguarding and the role that educators play in the same.
The session began with a small Mindfulness Video prepared by the counselor, that expressed gratitude to the teachers for all the efforts that they put in to make learning an interesting process. The video also aimed at setting the tone for the session that followed.
The session intended to help the teachers increase their self-awareness in relation to their innate responding styles and how to go about giving feedback in a more constructive manner/ a way in which the students will be more receptive.
The psychological reasons behind responding styles and feedbacks were based on the research outcomes.
The responding styles were further explored with the help of a teacher’s self-assessment form, followed by a discussion on the same. Different ways of giving feedback were practised using situations that the teachers come across daily. Brainstorming as a technique was used for collective understanding and reflecting.
The session ended with a small video that aimed at sending the message across of not judging anyone based on past instances or events. Thus, encouraging all to view students in a different light each day, and having Unconditional Positive Regard for all students forgiving and forgetting what might have happened earlier.
The teachers participated enthusiastically in the session and made it interactive.

- A session on the screening tool of NCERT named PRASHAST was conducted to guide teachers for early identification and screening based on their observation of student’s behavioral aspect:
- PRASHAST has 2 parts :-
- PART 1 – This is for the use of regular teachers for preliminary screening at the first level PART 2 is for the use of special educator/ Counselor for validating the observation of PART-1 tool.
- This is a screening tool and not to be used as a diagnostic tool to arrive at unnecessary labels to describe a child as having a disability.
- Teachers and special educators need to submit the report to CBSE by 30 September.

- An online webinar session in Montessori Pedagogy on the topic ‘Measuring a Child’s Progress’ was organised by DPS-HRDC for the Teachers of the Delhi Public Schools teaching the Foundational Stage Nursery- Class II on September 14, 2022.
- The resource person Ms. Rukmini Ramachandran gave an overview of a child’s progress and of what is meant by progress.
- Ms. Ruby elaborated on the four distinct periods that a child goes through and touched upon the special characteristics displayed in each stage.
- Ms. Rukmini further emphasised that assessment should not be done just for academic subjects like Mathematics and Language. Rather, a holistic view should be taken of academics, sports and other co-curricular and extracurricular activities and of the different life-skills.
- In the Montessori Method, activities are offered to help the child become independent, capable and self-confident.They elaborated the following points:
- The teachers should observe the child carefully in the class.
- The children should be allowed to take responsibility for their own work.
- A teacher should refrain from forbidding students from doing things on their own.
- Teachers should share with parents about what is suitable and appropriate at that particular stage.
- create their own templates for observation after discussions with their colleagues.
- The resource persons also elaborated about the teacher’s own growth and practice of educational principles.

The highlights of the webinar were:
- The workshop was initiated with an overview of how the first 6 years are the foundation of a child. Basic human characteristics like speaking, comparison, predictions are developed in these first 6 years.
- Ms. Rukmini Ramachandran further emphasized how work and play go hand in hand. They are not different from one another. Activities that we offer to the child are seen as both play and work.
- Children must be provided with opportunities that enable them to self-discovery and creation. Self-creation makes the child happy. If no space is provided for the child to discover himself, the child’s emotional well-being of the child gets affected.
- Parents and teachers must give the child purposeful activities to explore and learn in day-to-day life.
- It was further explained that purposeful activities .

- A brief introduction about the Breaking Barrier Campaign and its goal and challenges faced by the LGBTQI+ community were the major highlights of the session..
- An interactive open-ended session aimed at fostering a school climate that is open to dialogue and accept differences.
- The student members of the Breaking Barrier Campaign presented a very informative Power Point Presentation that highlighted different generic terms used for members of the LGBTQI+ community, gender identity, sexual orientation, misconceptions, allyship, gender pronouns, alternatives for inclusive language, some thought-provoking activities, inclusion in schools, ways to be more inclusive along with a heart touching animated film.

- A lecture demonstration on Dance Movement Therapy was organized for teachers at Delhi Public School, Rohini on 5 September 2022.
- Ms. Tripura Kashyap, a noted movement therapist in India, was the resource person for the day
- The session began with Body Talk, the warm up activity, which is important to begin a day’s busy schedule
- Other interesting techniques like Paint Brush, Follow the Finger, Statue that were demonstrated, helped the attendees understand the connect between our movements and mind.
- The session ended with the Cool Down exercise to explore space around to relax our body and mind.
- Teachers were happy to learn the ways to enhance expression, resolution and integration of body and mind through dance movements

- The author briefly narrated the story of her book, a tribute to the CBSE project ‘Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat’. It is about 5 students who gather information about Rajasthan for French teachers as a part of an exchange program.
- She also gave useful tips on how to write a story.
- The session was informative and inspiring for budding authors.
