7th EDITION OF INTERNATIONAL GETLITT! READING OLYMPIAD 2023-24

International GetLitt! Reading Olympiad was held in the online mode from 15-20 January 2024. It provided the students an opportunity to engage in reading a wide variety of age-appropriate books picked up from the best of Indian & International literature for children. Students from Classes II-VIII engaged in meaningful reading and explored different themes. This finally culminated in the Olympiad examination which contained multiple choice questions on vocabulary, comprehension and fun trivia related to the books. Avya Agrawal of II-A and Krishiv Mittal of II-E achieved the Global Top Rank 1 in the Grade 2 category.

ENVIRO ETHICS -ENGLISH SHOW AND TELL COMPETITION (CLASS I)

The students of Class I participated in 'Enviro Ethics'- an intra-section English show and tell competition on the theme ‘We are Environment Saviours’ on Thursday, 14 December 2023 with palpable enthusiasm. The little ones spoke about the need for conserving the environment with beautifully handcrafted props. The audience was in awe of the panache with which they performed.

The students enthusiastically recited poems based on the theme ‘Grandparents are Special’. The competition not only helped to enhance their thinking skills about the chosen topic but also showcased their ability to present the topic creatively. WORLD WILDLIFE WEEK- ENVIRONMENT ACTIVITY

The students of DPS Rohini Infant, Sunshine Wing were enthralled to participate in ‘World Wildlife Week’ from 1 October 2023 to 8 October 2023. Various activities like creating animals with clay, freehand drawing, animal party where children enjoyed enacting the sounds and movements of various animals and Storytelling were conducted. A puppet show was also organized to sensitize children about the importance of animals in our lives. Children enjoyed the activities and participated in them with full zeal and zest. They learned to take care of animals and be kind to them.

RHYME TIME- ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION (CLASS I)

The students of Class I participated in ‘Rhyme Time’- an intra-section English Recitation Competition, on Thursday, 13 July 2023. The competition not only strengthened the public speaking skills of the students, but also helped in building their confidence.

'SELF EXPLORATION ACTIVITY’- ACADEMIC ACTIVITY

“Self-discovery begins with self-love, You have to love yourself enough to find yourself.” – Nitin Namdeo
The students of Infant Sunshine Wing of Delhi Public School- Rohini, Nursery-II, were enthralled to participate in ‘Self Exploration’ activity on Friday, 12 May 2023. Children reflected on their own thoughts and feelings by writing their strengths using an activity sheet. Show and tell was conducted with Classes I & II which helped children become more confident and self-aware. It was an enlightening and enriching experience for the children of Infant Wing.
